The members of VTKC own a large variety of Thunderbirds, from the earliest year they were built in 1955 to the retro-birds built in early 2000. Many members own more than one Thunderbird because of their deep passion for this Ford model.

Wixom & Authenticity Awards
The Wixom Preservation Award recognizes unrestored, original Thunderbirds, and the Authenticity Award recognizes a high level of authentic components, whether original, NOS or reproduced. These awards are only offered at International Conventions require in-depth judging and evaluation. Flashlights and mirrors are utilized and judges touch the car, a lot, with very little escaping the attention of those doing the evaluation.
This year, 2022, our Club had two cars that won the Wixom Preservation Award and the Authenticity Award. First up is the 1990 Ford Black and Titanium Thunderbird belonging to Leonard & Bonnie Sample.

The second car from our Club shown below, was the 1985 Regatta Blue Thunderbird presented by Scotty and Bev Massey. Congratulations to these two outstanding Thunderbirds for taking on the challenge and winning both Awards.
