History of the Vintage Thunderbirds of Kansas City

The Vintage Thunderbird Club Of Kansas City (VTKC) was founded in 1990 by Austin Hocklander. Austin died in October of 2022 at age 97. While the President from 1990 to 1992, he received a sanction for our Club through the VTCA/VTCI Clubs. VTKC was a product of the forner MOKAN Thunderbird Club that was migrated to the Heartland Vintage Thunderbird Club of America, and no longer a local club that was recognized my VTCA/VTCI in 1989.

The first VTKC Newletter was called Words of Thunder and was produced in March of 1990. In 1996 the name of the newsletter was changed to Birds Eye View, and has kept that name till today.
